How about some oil drilling
The one problem easiest to immediately solve is our dependence on our enemies for oil.
Our elitist government does not really care if taxpayers pay a high cost for gasoline. Obama sees it going over 7 dollars a gallon.
But, what do they care. We pay for their gasoline along with enormous salaries, expenses, pensions, outrageous salary increases and health care, just to mention a few of their perks.
They have an arrogant nerve doing the things they do while celebrating a 90% disapproval rating from legal citizens of the United States.
They should all be turned over to Sheriff Joe, forced to wear pink underwear and live in tents in the desert.
Of course, some of them might relish the pink underwear.
Wasting Time
Most Americans know to confront the health care cost you do not need a 2500 page document comprised in secret by individuals we would not buy a used car from (or even a new one).
A simple solution would have been to eliminate state insurance boundaries, tort reform and eliminate fraud. How idiotic of the president and congress to say they will eliminate fraud once the bill is passed. Shouldn’t that be done right now or years ago?
Instead of wasting time on this stupid bill, the president and congress should have been concentrating on other major problems facing our Country.
Isn’t it amazing that presidents and congress are the ones that have and are now destroying our Country from within?
They created our worst enemy in Iran, destroyed our manufacturing base with NAFTA and GATT, reduced our military and intelligence capability, while continually printing fiat money and spending it foolishly. And, our congress must take the blame for our current economic crisis.
Now the president and his cohorts (czars and congress) are on the road to changing the United States of America into a socialistic country ruled by a would be Marxist.
Again congratulations to the many sensible Lake Havasu letter –writers and the Tea Party people. We have many logical thinking people in this City.

THE WAR WITHIN
THE WAR WITHIN
An Axis of Evil controls congress and the white house. We, the allied people of America are involved in a bitter struggle to survive their onslaught.
This is nothing short of war. We have the numbers on our side. But, their weapons are exposed as carbon tax, the so-called health care bill, stimulus money, illegal immigration, no oil drilling, giving aid to terrorism, indoctrinating our children with socialistic ideology, creating a housing disaster, destroying our manufacturing base, political correctness, destroying the morale of our armed forces and intelligence agencies, stealing money from the Social Security fund, permitting medicare fraud, and spending billions of dollars on things like John Murtha’s airport. I’m sure there are many more, but these are the real weapons of mass destruction.
We must also include the main stream media Acorn, SEIU, the ACLU, CAIR, LaRaza, and numerous other groups dedicated to the destruction of our way of life.
We recently won a battle in Massachusetts and tremendously shook up the enemy in Washington, who are trying to blame Bush for their loss. Hussein said it was the same desire for change that won him the presidential election, and lost the Democratic election in Massachusetts.
But, we all know it was really the Tea Party that won this battle.
Before you fall asleep reading my thoughts, I suggest you read the following article by Diana West from Townhall.com, February 04, 2010, followed by two of many comments.
My comment to this outrage: Our present and now still alive former members of congress and presidents not allowing oil drilling and refinery construction should be turned over to sheriff Joe, given pink underwear, and made to live in tents in the Arizona desert.

Fox's Fairly Imbalanced Pro-Muslim Influence
by Diana West
Should Fox News register with the State Department as a foreign agent -- an agent of Saudi Arabia?
First off, is that a farfetched question? Not when a leading member of the ruling family of the Sharia-totalitarian "kingdom" of Saudi Arabia, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, has made himself the second-largest shareholder of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., Fox News' parent company.
Just as Steven Emerson believes that American universities using Saudi mega-millions (many from Alwaleed) to set up Islamic studies departments should register as Saudi agents, I believe an American news channel part-owned and part-influenced by the Saudi prince should, too.
Alwaleed's long march through U.S. institutions is a mainly post-9/11 progression greased by his purchase of about a 5.5 percent stake in News Corp. in 2005, and his purchases, I mean, gifts, of $20 million apiece to Georgetown and Harvard Universities, also in 2005.
There have been other eye-catching displays of Alwaleed's largesse -- $500,000 in 2002 to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Hamas- and Muslim-Brotherhood-linked entity, and a whopping $27 million, also in 2002, to the families of Palestinian "martyrs," aka suicide bombers. These, along with Alwaleed's self-described "very close relationship" with Murdoch son and apparent heir-apparent James, a left-wing global-warmist with virulently anti-Israel views, should only deepen Americans' concerns about Fox's ties to "the prince." Recently, Murdoch and Alwaleed have discussed expanding their business relationship through the Murdoch purchase of a substantial stake in Rotana, Alwaleed's huge Arab media company.
Before entering his Murdoch association, Alwaleed gave a remarkably candid interview in 2002 about what Arab News described as his belief that "Arabs should focus more on penetrating U.S. public opinion as a means to influencing decision-making" rather than boycotting U.S. products, an idea of the moment.
The Arab News reported: "Arab countries can influence U.S. decision-making 'if they unite through economic interests, not political,' (Alwaleed) stressed. 'We have to be logical and understand that the U.S. administration is subject to U.S. public opinion. We (Arabs) are not so active in this sphere (public opinion). And to bring the decision-maker on your side, you not only have to be active inside the U.S. Congress or the administration but also inside U.S. society.'"
And active inside U.S. society living rooms -- even better. Alwaleed would seem to have hit on a Fox strategy some time after Rudy Giuliani refused to accept, on behalf of a 9/11-shattered New York City, his $10 million check-cum-lecture that essentially justified the al-Qaida attacks as having been a response to U.S. foreign policy. This was "such an egregious, outrageous, unfair offense that I would have nothing to do with his money either," Sean Hannity said at the time on Fox News' "Hannity & Colmes," his remarks (and those of other Fox personalities) recently re-examined by the left-wing group Media Matters. "This is a bad guy," Hannity said. "Rudy was right to decline the money." Bill Sammon called Alwaleed's check "blood money," adding, "we're better off without it."
How terribly ironic that this same "bad guy" is now a News Corp. blood-money bags, a boss who must be handled with care as, for example, Fox host Neil Cavuto did in a deferential interview with Alwaleed last month.
How does this influence Fox News coverage? It's impossible to say. Alwaleed has bragged that it only took a phone call to ensure that Fox coverage of Muslim rioting in France not be described as "Muslim" rioting in France, a boast News Corp. has never denied. This week, security analyst Joseph Trento, in light of recent negotiations between Alwaleed and Murdoch, mused online whether his own recent interview on "Fox & Friends" didn't appear in Fox's online video cache because he had told host Steve Ducey that "Saudi Arabian money was still financing al-Qaida." The doubt itself is damaging.
Meanwhile, spokesmen for terrorism-linked and Alwaleed-endowed CAIR still appear on Fox shows, for example, while Dave Gaubatz and Paul Sperry, likely Fox guests as conservative authors of the sleeper-hit book "Muslim Mafia" (an expose of CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood), get zero airtime. The more important question becomes: How does Alwaleed's stake in News Corp. affect what Fox News doesn't cover?
If they don't report, we can't decide. This, for a Sharia prince, could be worth millions.
Comments:
USSA on Sale
Yep. They are indeed buying us out using our petrodollars. Are we really that stupid? Yes we are!
We are sitting on the world's largest oil and gas reserves, we should be lining up in DC with pitchforks and machettes to make our idiotic clowns open up our domestic drilling pronto!
It won't be long before Arabs and Chinese will own us lock, stock and barrel. Their increasing leverage will make us dance to their tunes or else...
Diana, you have the goods
Honesty and integrity, that is.
I’m glad you brought this to light. It needs A LOT MORE publicity. As usual, you confront the most taboo subjects even those things that conservatives are afraid of.
Perhaps this is the reason that Fox ridiculed those of us who questioned Obama’s place of birth.
I still believe Obama is a closet Muslim and his biggest secrets will therefore be protected by “the brotherhood”. The fact that Obama made the big “My Muslim faith” blunder during an interview sealed it for me.
The gaffe was spun as a slip of the tongue because the topic of conversation had been the Muslim religion. That would be SOME slip. Can you see any Muslim accidentally referring to “My Jewish faith” because the topic of conversation had been Judaism? Such words would be so alien to a real Christian man, they would never have found their way out of his mouth. The reason the slip did not seem foreign to Obama (he didn’t even realize he had done it until the interviewer corrected him) is because it was NOT foreign. It was natural. Obama is a Muslim.
I believe the conservatives on Fox are the real deal, but they, like the rest of us, have families to support and need their jobs. We can only speculate on how much they are required to compromise.
How does this make you feel about those blithering idiots in Washington? They have been wasting so much time on a health care bill that provides more power and size to government, while terrorists are buying our Country.
CONTINUING MY THOUGHTS:
This enemy of ours purposely destroyed the housing market with the aid of Acorn and the brown, excuse me, the purple shirts of SEIU.
In conjunction with this, they are destroying our economy with their stimulus spending and give-a-ways to the unions. Add to this their unfounded cap and trade philosophy and the horrendous health hazard bill.
These evil people threaten our security by holding trials on US soil of dangerous terrorist prisoners now being held safely at Gitmo. They are treating terrorists equal to American citizens, and better than our troops and intelligence agencies. GITMO is the safest and most logical place to house dangerous terrorists. Guess what? The Axis is determined to shut it down and bring the prisoners to US soil!
They attempt to diffuse the truth from us, their enemy, by hiding behind propaganda and spin, spread by the media and eloquent speeches by the president.
They would like to even control voting, by giving that privilege to anyone in the country, legally or illegally.
But, we are on to them.
This Axis of Evil did not just start with the present congress and administration. Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and many after them were involved in this evil pursuit to rule the United States of America with absolute control over the citizens.
The main things they did to us during my lengthy lifetime: They gave away the Panama Canal, Iran to Islamic terrorists, failed to respond to terrorist attacks, reduced our defense and intelligence gathering ability, destroyed our manufacturing base with NAFTA and GATT, and forced banks to give mortgages to people with limited income.
But, I have to give credit, when credit is due. The present congress and White House inhabitants are the most evil of all!
I mentioned some of the major dealings of this Axis of Power. I could have mentioned that they also consider our money as theirs, wasting billions of dollars on campaign programs to make their constituents happy, while spending billions on themselves.
It should be pointed out that while the spin-doctors in power now are dangerous, we must not give the Republicans a pass. They had been spending like drunken servicemen (not just sailors).
And, one of my main objections is giving credit to our former president for protecting us from terrorists at home, by fighting them abroad, while leaving our borders open to all.
I wonder how many terrorists snuck into the country thru our open borders.
But, after reading Diana West’s article, I am furious with Washington’s arrogant refusal to allow for more refineries and oil drilling.
To use one of Rush Limbaugh’s phrases, “I can’t wait for the excrement to hit the fan”.

Flying Begins
The most significant part of my life, excluding family, was flying a single engine airplane, starting back in 1970
Flying single engine airplanes for over thirty years, has been the most exciting experience of my life, excluding, of course, my turbulent, passionate family. Of course, I got somewhat excited about 2 months ago when I hit a drive paced off at 294 yards, the longest drive, by far, of my life(so far, ha). I should mention my age. I will, in about two months turn into the big 80, which is hard for me to believe since I have been much younger in the past.
My early flying experience started in Southern California, with my home base at the Orange County Airport also called the John Wayne Airport. This reminds me at one of Newport Beach’s many restaurants, an impersonator was entertaining the audience and changed his routine into an impersonation of John Wayne. Everyone looked around, and there he was. John Wayne had entered, waved to everyone and proceeded into the restaurant. Exciting!
I owned a business during the 1970s and, instead of driving the crazy freeways, I would set up meetings at various airports in the LA basin. I have flown into almost every airport in the LA basin and the Valley. I was having a lot of fun running a business.
Some of my pilot friends used to hang out at a small airport every Sunday morning. It was the Meadowlark airport, a small private airport not far from the Orange County airport. So, I agreed to meet them there one Sunday morning. I checked it out on the charts and observed that it was a very short runway with a power line at the approach end of the runway. Very interesting.
I approached the runway with caution. I had to slip it in after passing the power lines, and landed nicely, but used the entire length of the runway. After a pleasant breakfast with my friends, I found myself taking off and knew I had to gain altitude rather quickly to avoid the apartments not too far from the end of the runway. What a crazy place for an airport. Meadowlark Airport has since been closed.
Occasionally, things would happen that would take some of the fun out of flying. One of these happened one afternoon after a game of racquetball at the Newport Beach Sporting House. I was a little tired, but, decided to fly to Palm Springs to get together with some pilot friends. It would only be a 30 minute flight.
I gained altitude out of the Orange County Airport, headed toward Corona, and proceeded thru the Banning Pass approaching runway 12 at the Palm Springs Airport. I slowed a little while I lowered the gear. The lights went on that indicated the gear was lowered properly. The only problem was the light for the left gear failed to go on. I flew by the tower and was informed that my left gear was not down.
WOW!! What a shock! I spent over an hour doing maneuvers like stalls, and sharp banks trying to get the gear to drop, while telling myself not to do something stupid. If I was going to have a serious conclusion, it was going to be while I attempted the landing, not in a spin.
During this time, I was in constant contact with experts on the ground giving me advice. Some of the advice was landing with the gear up, some with the gear that was down to leave it down. Some advised me to land on the ground adjacent to the runway.
I had, right from the start, decided how and where I would land if the gear failed to drop.
I decided to proceed with the landing since it would be dark soon, and I wanted the daylight. The tower shut down the airport to all other traffic, and gave the airport to me.
My tiredness, which I had felt as I had approached the airport had left me right away. I was extremely alert, and thinking of everything I had to do as I approached the runway. I lowered the flaps, raised the gear, turned the switch off, and even unlocked and pushed the door, after remembering a movie where the pilot crashed and couldn’t get the door open.
I kept the plane off the ground as long as I could without creating a stall, and prepared for a belly landing. The plane touched down, and really landed on the step on one side and the flap on the other. The plane stopped shortly, when I proved that this is really the way you can accomplish a short field landing. Raise the gear and you don’t need that much runway.
I exited the plane to the applause of a crowd. And, the next morning I read all about my experience in a Palm Springs newspaper.
During the entire episode, I experienced no fear. I was completely absorbed with doing everything I could to land safely.
I hope you enjoyed this first blog about flying. There will be more to come.

Starting With Golf
This is the first post of my new blog. I’m going to make an attempt to avoid political issues and concentrate on golf and my past flying experiences.
Starting with golf, back about the latter part of 1988, while swinging a driver in my living room, I discovered a simple, fluid swing. I tried it out the next day, and to my amazement it really worked. I then proceeded to write a book for hackers. It was intended for golfers shooting in the 90s and 100s to improve their games down to the 80s. Prior to writing the book, I tried it out on some friends, and it worked on them. So, I figured it could work on others.
I got sidetracked soon after that buying and selling lots, and quit on the golf book. Now, over 20 years later, I decided to write a revision of my old golf book, with the addition of a description of the original swing with steroids. Also, included, is a simple way of getting hackers scores down to the 80s.
I haven’t yet decided what to do with this new material.
